We make one thing: a generator that turns teaching material into an interactive lab an educator can edit, a learner can work through, and a virtual learning environment can import. We are based in the United Kingdom and we build for UK further and higher education first.
What we are trying to do
Most generated courseware is a quiz with a reading passage in front of it. The interesting question is not whether a model can write a multiple choice item, it is whether the thing a learner is asked to do is the thing the material actually demands.
The engine is opinionated about teaching, not about prose
A lab is planned against stated objectives, shaped by the discipline it belongs to and the level it is pitched at, and checked against named gates before anyone sees it. The activity types exist because different ideas need different work: a decision needs a decision, not a paraphrase with four options under it.
The educator stays the author
Generation gets you a draft in minutes. The Studio canvas is the learner view, so an edit happens in the element the learner reads it in. Nothing ships that you have not looked at.
How we decide what we are allowed to say
Every public claim on this site is written down in a register in the codebase, with the code that implements it and the name of a test that proves it. A claim with no backing fails the build.
35 claims, audited
11 of them were corrected in the last audit, because the product did not do what the sentence said. 2 are being built and are deliberately absent from the site until they are true. The full list, including what the corrected ones used to say, is on the methodology page.
A gap is stated, not discovered
Every page we build carries a section saying what that part of the product does not do. A limit a customer meets after purchase costs more than the sale it protected.
